The Inspiration Behind Admiration

Admiration is a remarkable feeling. It is gratifying, motivating, inspiring and enthusiastic. Today, KLA has been named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine, which is a definitive and highly respected report card on corporate reputation. This recognition is a direct reflection on the people of KLA, whose professionalism and commitment to our culture and values are recognized by our peers for doing many different things exceptionally well.

“Perseverance is so important because our work is so technical and difficult, and that takes grit. It takes determination. That’s why we never give up.”

MaryBeth Wilkinson, Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer

A large and diverse network of board directors, executives, analysts and business leaders have taken note of KLA’s innovativeness, products and services, management and leadership, community responsibility, sound financial position and talent. Our people, our values and the way we collaborate together and with our customers are at the heart of this exciting recognition.

“This recognition is proof of the steadfast dedication of our global teams to continuous innovation, technology excellence, and delivering customer success.”

Rick Wallace, President and CEO

KLA had a landmark 2021 with many highlights. We opened our second U.S. headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where a culture of inclusion and diversity was created from the beginning. To expand the reach of artificial intelligence (AI) in our products and develop the next generation of AI innovations, we created our new AI-Advance Computing Lab (AI-ACL), operated in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. Our researchers and engineers at the AI-ACL join the AI experts at our AI Modeling and Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor to form a global team committed to advancing the boundaries of AI, software, image processing and physics modeling. KLA invested in multi-regional research and published the Engineering Inspiration Report, highlighting the motivations, inspirations and major challenges experienced on the career path to becoming an engineer, giving us an opportunity to customize the KLA workplace experience for our existing engineers and also those of the next generation. As part of our commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) stewardship, KLA also announced a goal to use 100% renewable electricity across global operations by 2030.

“I love how KLA supports innovation from the inside. The best thing about my role is getting an opportunity to see my ideas come to reality and help solve the challenges faced by our customers. I like how KLA’s products ultimately deliver technologies that make a positive and lasting impact on people’s lives.”

Sneha Kamat, Mechanical Design Engineer

2021 also marked the first time KLA was named to the Fortune 500 list. Read how delivering innovation by putting our employees and customers first sets us apart.
