KLA had a landmark 2021 with many highlights. We opened our second U.S. headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where a culture of inclusion and diversity was created from the beginning. To expand the reach of artificial intelligence (AI) in our products and develop the next generation of AI innovations, we created our new AI-Advance Computing Lab (AI-ACL), operated in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. Our researchers and engineers at the AI-ACL join the AI experts at our AI Modeling and Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor to form a global team committed to advancing the boundaries of AI, software, image processing and physics modeling. KLA invested in multi-regional research and published the Engineering Inspiration Report, highlighting the motivations, inspirations and major challenges experienced on the career path to becoming an engineer, giving us an opportunity to customize the KLA workplace experience for our existing engineers and also those of the next generation. As part of our commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) stewardship, KLA also announced a goal to use 100% renewable electricity across global operations by 2030.
